Candidates for SofWave™ are patients in their 30s or older who have mild to moderate signs of aging, including fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity on the face and neck. Other areas of the body with loose skin may be treated, such as the arms and abdomen.

The first step in your SofWave™ treatment is your initial consultation. You’ll meet with Dr. Lo and his team to begin your journey to beautiful, rejuvenated skin by:

How Does SofWave™ Work?
SofWave™ is an advanced treatment to tighten and smooth skin that is showing mild to moderate signs of aging. It is designed to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity around your chin, neck, and eyebrows.
SofWave™ uses Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam (SUPERB™) technology, which delivers ultrasound energy to the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. This treatment zeroes in on your areas of concern, gently heating the skin at a depth of 1.5mm, which is the level necessary to boost the production of collagen and elastin and tighten existing tissue.

Procedure: SofWave™ is performed in our office (in just under an hour).
Anesthesia: SofWave™ treatments are painless, but topical anesthetic cream can be used to ensure your comfort.
Length of Procedure: A typical SofWave™ session takes about 30–45 minutes, depending on the number of areas being treated.
Level of Post-Treatment Pain: SofWave™ is a painless procedure, with the only side effects being minor redness or swelling right after treatment.
Activity: You can immediately return to your daily routine with no restrictions.
Expected Results: You will be able to see some skin tightening and tone improvements at four weeks. Results will continue improving over the next two to three months and last up to a year.
Recovery Period: No recovery period is necessary after SofWave™. You can return to all activities, including wearing makeup, immediately after treatment.

Pricing: SofWave™ treatment prices vary according to the number of areas treated and the extent of the treatment.
Number of Treatments: It is recommended that two treatments be performed one month apart for best results. Some patients may only require one treatment. A maintenance treatment once a year is recommended.
What Do I Need to Know About My SofWave™ Treatment?
What Is My Recovery Like After SofWave™?
There is no downtime needed after your SofWave™ treatment. Because it is non-surgical, you can immediately return to work and other activities after your SofWave™ session.
You may have some redness and minor swelling after your SofWave™ treatment, similar to a mild sunburn. Most patients will have no visible signs of the treatment. You can apply cool compresses and use over-the-counter medication to alleviate discomfort. However, this should not last longer than a few hours. Stay hydrated and avoid abrasive skincare products for at least 48 hours after treatment.
The most important aspect of your SofWave™ recovery is sun protection. You must avoid exposure to harmful UV rays and use a daily SPF to ensure that the collagen and elastin fibers in your skin are rebuilt and not destroyed by damaging sun exposure.
Is SofWave™ Painful?
SofWave™ utilizes innovative SofCool™ technology to cool your skin, ensuring your comfort for the duration of your treatment. Most patients easily tolerate the treatment with no discomfort.
Will My SofWave™ Treatment Leave Scars?
No, SofWave™ treatments do not leave scars.
When Will I See My SofWave™ Results?
While you will be able to see some improvements in your skin four to six weeks after your SofWave™ treatment, it takes time for your body’s natural production of collagen and elastin to take place. So, even though your skin may look smoother and tighter a few days after your SofWave™ session, you’ll continue to see improvements up to three months after treatment
